He thinks that's America is divided because he talks about happiness and then sadness. But he thinks that that there is much good in America. He shows that we are divided by saying you and me not us which is more inclusive. He also wants Americans to choose the nice side by saying to "walk in the freedom highway".

Utopia
This pairing is a dystopia because it has dark colors. It is representing communism because everything is the same. The eyes represent the government watching on the people. A paradox is used in its name because it is used to draw attention to to topic and make people think about it.
Soma
The theme of the song soma is that people use things like soma to block out the bad things in life and this should be stopped, people should accept the bad thugs and life and deal with them not avoid them. This is seem through the story the writer tells and the respetative using of the word soma.

Innocence is being pure and not tainted by evil.
You can lose something that is not tangible by losing your view on life, mentality, or a character trait you have. Once you lose it, you can never get it back. I connected this to the quote "Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions." This connects this idea because the dimensions of your brain are intangible but yet they can change.
The woman to the right is trying to cover the naked woman who is losing her innocence.
The woman in the middle is walking away from a sea shell that represents innocence.
The central figure is surrounded by darkness and the darkness represents things that make her lose her innocence.

It is time for the reader to overcome his/her challenges and move on.
Learning to fly is symbolic for moving on because when you learn to fly you now have the the ability to move around more like you can do after you move on.
Singing in the dead of night represents how you want to move forward but you cant so you are hiding a want from society, like a bird is hiding by not singing during the day.
